The Milwood Ave Residence is a modern spec home in the Milwood neighborhood of Venice, California, blocks away from the vibrant Abbot Kinney Boulevard. The home will reuse over 50% of the existing duplex on the site. These retained portions of the existing structures will be clad in reclaimed wood. The new portion of the house is contained in a white box that spans between these wood clad volumes.
